Volkswagen, like many other market-leading automakers, is in the process of electrifying its vehicles. This is an ongoing transformation in the company, with the goal of moving to all-electric technology by 2030. The performance of Volkswagen’s MEB (Modular Electric Drive Matrix) platform, which enables its electric vehicle technology, depends on the structural integrity of the battery pack. A structurally robust battery pack protects both the battery and the vehicle occupant by providing impact resistance.
