Oxygen reacts with conventional lubrication technologies, causing potential explosions, fires, lubricant deterioration, and component failures.<\/p>\n<p>Oxygen accelerates the decomposition of hydrocarbon lubricants, causing stoppages and breakdowns.  <strong>Oxygen reacts with conventional additives, leading to degradation, reduced lubricant life, and the need for more frequent lubrication.<\/strong>  The use of non-compatible lubricants requires that components be installed in explosion-proof barriers.<\/p>\n<p>Standard lubricants are at risk of self-ignition by compression, if in contact with oxygen the properties of conventional lubricants are often not adequate for critical systems where failure is not an option.<\/p>\n<p>SOLUTION<\/p>\n<p>The wide range of chemically inert Krytox\u2122 oils and greases provide the best lubrication available for all oxygen-contacting equipment. <strong>Krytox\u2122 lubricants are 100 percent oxygen compatible and completely nonflammable<\/strong>.
