Generally, viscosity and thus friction tend to increase at low temperatures, causing significant effects on the components that are enveloped in them. In contrast, silicones maintain strong stability because they undergo minimal changes in viscosity as temperature changes: high viscosity index or temperature viscosity coefficient. This is extremely important if you want to lubricate a mechanical device subject to significant temperature changes.   <\/p>\n<h3>High thermo-oxidative stability:<\/h3>\n<p>An important aspect is the resistance of a silicone grease to heat. It has the ability to delay the phenomena of primary and secondary oxidation, crucial steps in the destructive process of the lubricating film. Silicone greases can ensure smooth function with the presence of hydrodynamic film on friction surfaces up to temperatures of 180 to 200\u00b0C.  <\/p>\n<h3>Low coefficient of friction<\/h3>\n<p>Silicone greases by nature are called &#8220;slipping,&#8221; and this depends on the particular structure of the siloxane polymer. This property is noticeable in the presence of friction between elastomeric surfaces, as in rubber seals. <\/p>\n<h3>Compatibility with plastics and elastomers<\/h3>\n<p>Silicone greases are usually inactive against plastics and elastomers, so they do not produce large structural changes: volume, hardness and weight tensile strength. For this reason they find use as an adjuvant in the assembly of rubber seals and as lubricants in of mixed couplings: rubber metal, plastic metal, plastic rubber. <\/p>\n<h3>Good noise inhibiting effect<\/h3>\n<p>Silicone greases, due to their high viscosity index compared with other types of synthetic lubricating greases, perform the lubricant and anti-noise function more effectively: a silicone oil of 100,000 cst viscosity at 25\u00b0C can be used up to temperatures of -40\u00b0C, which is impossible for a lubricating oil of any other chemical nature.<\/p>\n<h3>Water repellency<\/h3>\n<p>Silicone lubricating greases are insoluble in water, making them preferable for use in many applications with potential contact with polar fluids.[\/vc_column_text][vc_column_text
