Methacrylic adhesives are the ideal solution for bonding thermoplastics, advanced composites and industrial materials. They have inherent ability to pretreat materials at low surface energy, so often no surface treatment is necessary.
Features methacrylic adhesives
- These adhesives (MMA adhesives) have a heat resistance up to 100-120°C.
- They are fast, developing mechanical performance also very quickly and have excellent environmental and weathering resistances.
- Some react under extreme conditions ( -40° C and in the presence of water).
- Methacrylic adhesives are versatile; they can be semi-rigid and very flexible (100% elongation at break).
