Technology for industrial lubricants

Fluorosilicone-based lubricants.

Fluorosilicone lubricants, fluorosilicone base oils, are a category of lubricating greases that use fluorosilicones as the oil base. These greases combine the properties of silicone with those of fluorine, providing a rare combination of handling heavy loads, high and low temperatures, harsh environments, and low to moderately high speeds.

Introduction

Compared with other base oil technologies, fluorosilicone lubricating greases tend to exhibit the least amount of physical change with age.
Fluorosilicone lubricants can be used in a wide range of applications, including valves, bearings, gears, seals, mechanical pumps and more. They are particularly suitable for applications where extreme temperatures, chemical resistance and water repellency are essential.

For example, they can be used in aerospace, industrial, automotive and maritime environments. In addition, they can be used in applications where compatibility with plastics and elastomers is important.

Performance in extreme environments

  • Fluorosilicone-based lubricants offer excellent chemical resistance, highly effective lubrication, and excellent water and oil repellency.
  • In general, fluorosilicone lubricating greases are an effective solution to lubrication challenges in extreme environments and can improve the durability and performance of the equipment used.
