Pneumatic dampers
Airpot dampers are devices that can dampen or control moving loads by forcing air through an adjustable orifice. The simplicity of construction and the materials used, graphite for the piston and Pyrex glass for the cylinder, make this element particularly reliable in many applications where limited loads must be controlled.
Typical applications include both shock absorption and motion control, particularly in precision electromechanical equipment.
Pneumatic actuators
The Airpot actuator has the same design features as the damper, but uses compressed air to provide a driving force. It is particularly suitable for low to moderate force range where the use of conventional actuators is problematic.
The Airpot actuator works without lubrication and seals, so it is ideal in systems that do not allow friction or contamination, allowing high operational reliability.
