Applications for industrial lubricants
Anti-noise lubricants
Noise is a physical phenomenon caused by the propagation of sound waves in the environment. Most often it is caused by friction between two materials sliding against each other, such as metal parts or parts made of different materials, such as plastic, elastomers, leather, wood, and metal.
Introduction to anti-noise lubricants
Noise reduction and isolation, also known as NVH (noise, vibration and harshness), is a major concern of engineers. Lubrication is the most common and effective means of eliminating noise; in fact, usually an anti-noise lubricant contains specific additives that help reduce friction and friction between moving parts, in turn reducing the problem.
A noise reduction lubricant can be used in a wide range of applications, including:
- Vehicles, to reduce noise and vibration in engines, transmissions, and suspension systems.
- Industrial machinery, particularly in transmission systems, bearings and gears.
- Electronic equipment, specifically especially in motors and fans.
