On the occasion of our 120th anniversary and in memory of Luciano Mascherpa, our company’s historic president, an extraordinary mural work was unveiled in the heart of the NoLo neighborhood in Milan.
Created by Outdoora artist Nicholas Perra, the work covers more than 260 square meters and is a gift that Mascherpa S.p.A. gives to the city on the occasion of our 100th anniversary.
To celebrate this important milestone, we launched an open art call in March 2024 to create a mural that would not only commemorate the one hundred and twentieth anniversary, but also one of the most significant figures in its history: Luciano Mascherpa.
The contest then led to the creation of a signature mural expressing values of unity, cohesion, and social harmony, taking inspiration from the metaphorical qualities of adhesive and lubricant.

In fact, the work, also taken up by MilanoToday, draws inspiration from one of our pillar topics, “The adhesive that unites and the lubricant that eliminates friction.” On the strength of this awareness, and thanks to a unique style that is the result of experience and sensitivity, the mural represents a true play of shapes, depictions and vibrant colors that intertwine and overlap, creating a visual harmony that reflects the beauty of human relationships.
The entire mural is an interplay of flowing lines of color whose development culminates in the intertwining of hands, elements, these, that symbolize the union of different individuals, each with their own path and experiences, in the fabric of the urban community.
At the base of the work, the inscription “Made in memory of Luciano Mascherpa” serves to remember and honor the figure of the late president, leaving an indelible mark in the collective memory.

With the creation of the mural, our company Mascherpa S.p.A. not only celebrates its 120th anniversary, but also renews its bond with the city of Milan, continuing to contribute to its cultural and social growth and always remembering its historic president Luciano.
