Today, all materials used in rail vehicles must follow EN 45545-2 in order to achieve the highest possible level of safety in case of fire.
Dow offers a range of adhesives and encapsulants to seal or protect all railroad components. These products meet the high requirements of the new European fire protection standard EN 45545-2. They reach safety levels up to HL3 and thereforecan also be installed in bunks and sleeping cars that pass through subway tunnelssuch as rail vehicles operating on tracks in the subway.
