Biodegradable lubricants
CONDAT offers a wide range of special lubricants with components that are readily biodegradable or otherwise classified as environmentally non-hazardous. These products allow long lubrication intervals and low consumption, having zero impact on ‘the environment.

There are different biodegradability tests depending on the performance to be achieved or the nature of the product:
- Primary biodegradability: CEC L33 test.
- Ultimate or ready biodegradability: OECD test 301/302
ECOLABEL Certified Lubricants
European regulations make it mandatory to use lubricants that comply with the ECOLABEL specification in certain defined areas, called sensitive zones, so as to limit the use of petroleum-derived lubricants.
Created in 1992, the European ECOLABEL is the only official European eco-label that can be used in all member countries of the European Union, enabling the identification of environmentally friendly products. This Ecolabel is based on a multi-criteria approach: all impacts on the environment due to a lubricant’s origin, manufacture, use and end of life are considered.

Eco-label criteria
Ultimate biodegradability – OECD 301 B: Ability of a product to be transformed into a simple element by living organisms. OECD 301B standard replaces obsolete CEC standard (primary biodegradability)
Ecotoxicity-OECD 201-202-203: a measure of the critical concentration of a product for which a harmful effect is observed in aquatic organisms.
Non-bioaccumulation-OECD 117: Bioaccumulation corresponds to a substance in the environment that a living organism cannot transform and will concentrate in a part of its organism.
The MSDS of the product must not contain any hazard phrases, which ensures perfect safety for the user
The use of renewable raw materials for which the amount to be incorporated varies according to the type of product
Absence of hazardous chemical compounds according to ECOLABEL criteria – list of prohibited substances 2000/60 / EC + OSPAR
The product must meet the technical performance levels
To reduce environmental impact and protect the environment from accidental oil spills, CONDAT has developed a wide range of biodegradable products.
The CONDAT range of biodegradable lubricants meets very strict criteria and requirements in terms of biodegradability and toxicity. Some products in the range also comply with the European ECOLABEL certification.
CONDAT biodegradable lubricants are specially formulated to be as effective as standard lubricants.
They allow you to eliminate oil changes due to excellent oxidation resistance, better protect your installations and the environment.
To formulate its environmentally friendly lubricants, CONDAT uses vegetable oils (such as canola oil, sunflower seed oil …) or synthetic oils (synthetic esters) according to the required level of performance.
Choosing a biodegradable lubricant is a commitment to the environment.
