Technology for Elastomeric Adhesives
Polyurethane sealant adhesives
Polyurethane sealant adhesives adapt to the needs of production processes.
Introduction
The one-component and two-component polyurethane sealant adhesives elastically absorb mechanical shocks caused by dynamic stress and compensate for thermal expansions between dissimilar substrates. They are capable of creating elastic and tough joints, with higher loads than other elastomeric adhesives.
Polyurethane sealant adhesives adapt to the needs of production processes. The polymerization mechanism can be RTV (room temperature vulcanization) or, for faster processes, heat-accelerated for two-component systems.
Main properties of polyurethane sealants
- Load resistance up to 5 Mpa for mono-components and 18 Mpa for bi-components
- Elongation between 80% (2k) and 500% (1k)
- Moisture and water resistance
- Ease of use.
