Structural Adhesive Technology

Epoxy adhesives

Epoxy adhesives withstand high temperatures, are tough and have filling capabilities.

Introduction

Epoxy adhesives withstand high temperatures, weathering and organic substances, and offer mechanical performance that can withstand high loads. They are tough and reinforced able to withstand dynamic stress and fatigue giving durability of the joint. They have filling capabilities, although they perform best in thin layers.

Features and industries

  • Epoxy adhesives can be resilient and have “crash resistant” characteristics. They are characterized by negligible shrinkage during curing, not stressing thinner substrates.
  • This set of properties have made epoxy adhesives the adhesives of choice in aerospace and automotive fields.
