The “British Retailer Consortium” (BRC), has established a Technical Standard to help retailers meet their legal obligations and protect the consumer by providing a unified model for auditing all companies that supply retailers.

British retailers have determined that BRC certification is a necessary condition for inclusion in their supplier list.

The main objective of the BRC standard is to ensure safety, legality and quality of products by ensuring systematic control of all raw materials and production processes.
