“We are proud to have added DOWSIL™ PV to our existing Dow product lines,” said Cristina Mascherpa, head of Adhesives and Electronics at Emanuele Mascherpa SpA. “This further strengthens the relationship with Dow.”
“We assure our utmost commitment to this new line: we will strive to promote the products, find new applications, and above all, give reliable service to our customers.”
The global transition to carbon neutrality and the desire for new and local energy sources to ensure reliable supply are creating a surge in demand for high-performance, affordable renewable energy solutions throughout the supply chain.
As the PV moduleassembly market evolves to meet the growing demand for integrated solar solutions for buildings and infrastructure as well as large-scale solar installations, the launch of the DOWSIL™ PV product line will provide customers with reliable solutions with proven performance.
“As the needs of the building and infrastructure sector evolve, our solutions must evolve in tandem,” said Jean-Paul Hautekeer, global strategic market director for building and infrastructure solutions at Dow. “Our DOWSIL™ PV product line will enable us to provide innovative next-generation silicone materials that meet the needs of our customers and contribute to the realization of a more sustainable world.”
“The benefits of using these Dow technologies are many,” Hautekeer said. “In addition to being locally sourced and high-performance, these products meet customers’ needs for sustainability and innovation. Silicones are key materials for photovoltaic assembly, and we are continuously working on new innovations in this product category, such as solutions for repairing backsheet cracks and encapsulating solar cells through silicone technology.”
