With manufacturing facilities and research and development centers around the world, DuPont’s MOLYKOTE® lubricants are the excellent choice for assembly, manufacturing and maintenance. Our technical sales team will be on hand to assist you in selecting the most suitable lubricant for your specific needs.
Introduction to MOLYKOTE® Lubricants.
DuPontʼs MOLYKOTE® high-performance lubricants help to reduce friction and wear, extend lubrication time, and reduce maintenance and replacement costs in applications where traditional oil and grease lubricants would not suffice. Formulated to withstand the stresses of high loads, environments contaminated by dust, dirt or chemical aggression, as well as extreme temperatures and speeds, MOLYKOTE lubricants are ideal for normal service lubrication. To select the best lubricant for your application, let your specific needs guide you:

Types of MOLYKOTE® Industrial Lubricants
There are six types of lubricants to choose from. Each has different physical form with properties that make it suitable for specific applications:
Lubricating pastes
Grease-like materials that contain a high percentage of solid lubricants. Used for assembly and lubrication of heavily loaded parts with slow movements and for threaded connections.
Lubricating greases
Solid or semi-solid materials consisting of a fluid lubricant, a thickener and additives. Used in bearings and other moving parts.
Lubricating compounds
Grease-like materials composed of a silicone fluid thickened with amorphous silica. Used for their properties of sealing, electrical insulation, non-adherence and lubrication of non-metallic parts.
High Performance Industrial Lubricating Oils
Based on hydrogen-treated mineral oils or synthetic oils such as polyalphaolefins (PAOs) and esters, these fluid lubricants are fortified with carefully selected additives to ensure optimal performance and durability, while maximizing the protection of the machinery and equipment for whose lubrication they are designed.
Lubricating coatings
“Lubricating Lacquers” when applied these materials harden to form a dry lubricating film that adheres to the surface.
Dispersions
Micronized solid lubricants suspended in lubricating fluids; used when it is necessary to apply a solid lubricant in liquid form.
