Molykote Silicone Lubricants

Silicone compounds are grease-like lubricants containing silicone fluids, thickened with inert amorphous silica.

They are resistant to oxidation and thermal degradation and retain their properties over a wide temperature range. They are designed as release agents and can be used as assembly lubricants for O-rings, electrical current insulators, sealants that do not harden, and to lubricate rubber and plastic parts.

Silicone compounds can be used in applications where they have the dual function of sealing and lubricating

These products are versatile solvers of sealing and lubrication problems and have ‘excellent resistance to both oxidation and thermal degradation.

Molykote® silicone compounds do not conduct electricity and serve the dual role of noncuring sealants and special lubricants for harsh operating conditions.

These products are H1 certified for use in food and beverage applications, as well as in uses with the presence of potable water.

Lubricants can be used as:

  • Release agents on plastics and elastomers
  • O-ring assembly lubricants
  • Lubricants on taps and valves in dual function as lubricants and sealants
  • Moisture barriers on electrical devices
