As every year, the international reference trade show for the composite materials industry brought together designers, engineers and decision makers from around the world to discuss innovation, production processes and industrial applications.
During the three days of the show we had the opportunity to engage with technicians and companies from various industrial sectors, sharing our approach to composites based on the integration of materials, processes and real applications.

Composite material solutions presented at JEC World 2026
At JEC World 2026 Mascherpa presented a selection of solutions dedicated to the world of composite materials, with a particular focus on epoxy resin systems for composites from Huntsman Araldite®.
The solutions on display are designed for the main composite processing methods and for use with reinforcement fibers such as fiberglass and carbon fiber, used in the production of high-performance structural components.
The epoxy resin systems for composites ARALDITE® are used in various industrial sectors, including:
- aerospace;
- automotive;
- marine;
- sports;
- energy;
- general industry.
These products offer a balance between mechanical performance, reliability and compatibility with production processes.
Mascherpa’s approach to composite materials
Mascherpa’s approach to composite materials is not limited to supplying a single product, but is based on a broader vision of technical support throughout all phases of the project.

Mascherpa solutions for composite materials
The main Mascherpa solutions for composites include:
- Huntsman Araldite® resin systems for composites, designed to ensure mechanical performance, structural stability and compatibility with the main industrial processes.
- Reinforcement fabrics SAERTEX®, a reference in multiaxial fabrics (NCF) for composite materials, used to optimize fiber orientation, weight and structural performance of laminates.
- Consumable materials for molding DIATEX, essential in infusion processes and molding to ensure surface quality, proper compaction and process control.
- Core materials Nidaplast and 3D|Core™, used to reduce weight while maintaining high structural performance in composite components.
JEC World 2026 was also an opportunity for direct interaction with some of the technology partners that are part of this solutions ecosystem. In particular, we had the opportunity to meet the teams from SAERTEX® and DIATEX at the show, with whom Mascherpa collaborates in developing reliable solutions for the production of composite material components.
An ongoing technical dialogue that enables us to bring to market not only materials, but solutions consistent with production processes and real applications.
Production processes for composite materials
In the world of composites, the process guides the choice of materials.
For this reason, Mascherpa supports customers with dedicated technical consulting on the main production processes used in the composite materials industry, including:
- infusion;
- Resin Transfer Moulding (RTM);
- wet lay-up;
- filament winding;
- pultrusion;
Understanding the behavior of materials within different production processes is essential to achieve high mechanical performance and industrial repeatability.
Dedicated composite solutions for Cober poles and rackets
Among the application examples presented during JEC World 2026 is the collaboration with Cober, an Italian manufacturer of trekking poles and ski poles.
Mascherpa supported the company in developing adhesive and structural solutions for composite material applications.
These include:
- Bonding of a foam EVA grip on polypropylene using Permabond TA4611 acrylic adhesive.
- Insertion of an aluminum cylinder inside a carbon racket using Araldite® 2011 epoxy adhesive.
A technical collaboration based on direct interaction, application testing and finding the most effective solution for each application.
Composite lamination for Blossom skis
Another project highlighted during JEC World 2026 is the collaboration with Blossom Skis, an Italian company specializing in the production of high-performance skis.
The production of skis is a complex structural process involving wood cores, edges, bases and fiber laminates. In this context, the lamination phase represents one of the most critical steps.
For this application, Mascherpa supported Blossom in selecting the system: ARALDITE® AW 1136 / ARALDITE® AW 1137 / ARADUR® 5049-1, a proven system in ski lamination that ensures:
- uniform application and controlled viscosity
- curing at approximately 100°C during molding
- excellent adhesion on different substrates
- retention of elongation at break at low temperatures
These characteristics ensure production process stability and high structural performance even in the most demanding operating conditions.
Meeting the PoliMi Motorcycle Factory team and the Next projects
The JEC World 2026 was also an opportunity to meet partners and teams involved in projects developed within Mascherpa Next.
During the show we met the team from PoliMi Motorcycle Factory, with whom we collaborate in developing structural composite components for motorcycle racing.
The project utilized advanced materials such as Renshape BM 5060 and gel coat for carbon lamination, with support from the Mascherpa team in optimizing structural solutions for lightness, strength and aerodynamics.
Within Mascherpa Next are also other composite-based projects, such as the collaboration with the Revel Sailing Team, where the construction of the Alba skiff integrated:
- SAERTEX® reinforcement fabrics in flax, glass and carbon fiber;
- core material in recycled PET 3DCore;
- Huntsman resins and Araldite® structural adhesives;
DIATEX consumable materials for the infusion process.
Among the Next projects related to composites is also the collaboration with Skyward Experimental Rocketry, the team from Politecnico di Milano that develops sounding rockets. In this context, Mascherpa supported the use of materials and solutions for composite processing and for structural bonding between composite and metal, contributing to the development of components designed to operate in extremely challenging environmental conditions.
