Lubricants for high-voltage HV connectors in electric vehicles
High-voltage connectors in electric vehicles have become increasingly numerous, and their functionality is critical to the proper functioning of the car. To ensure the reliability of such connectors, specially formulated lubricants must be used. MOLYKOTE® offers a range of lubricants for high-voltage HV connectors, specifically for electric vehicles, that ensure adequate sealing performance and consistent electrical conductivity over time.

MOLYKOTE®: Special Lubricants for HV Connectors
The elastomer seal, which prevents moisture infiltration, requires proper lubrication to prevent microcracking during assembly and simplify the process.
MOLYKOTE® 111 Compound
e MOLYKOTE® HP-300 Grease are the ideal solution for this need, offering excellent water resistance and superior sealing performance. In addition, both products have highdielectric strength, making them suitable for high-voltage environments.
To ensure consistent electrical conductivity over time, the metal seal pins require adequate lubrication. MOLYKOTE® L-8030 semi-dry lubricant is designed to reduce wear and fretting corrosion caused by vibration, reducing insertion force and protecting metal from oxidation. Field tests showed that the use of MOLYKOTE® L-8030 did not affect electrical conductivity and maintained constant friction values for more than 250 mating cycles.
