Electrolube has launched two new phase-change thermally conductive materials, TPM350 and TPM550, which offer high thermal conductivity and low thermal interface resistance.

Phase change materials have the ability to store and release thermal energy during phase change.

Thus, unlike other types of heat conducting products, they offer efficient heat transfer and high performance even under extensive thermal cycling and temperature spikes.

TPM350 has a thermal conductivity of 3.5W/m.K and an activation temperature of 50 °C. At this temperature it becomes a lower viscosity material, minimizing the thermal contact resistance.TPM550 has a thermal conductivity of 5.5W/m.K and an activation temperature of 45 °C.

Both materials are silicone-free and work in a temperature range of -40 °C to +125 °C.
They are reworkable, can be applied by screen-printing, and have a thixotropy such that they do not spill out of their seat, thus avoiding fouling adjacent substrates.
