The delicate components that are used in electronic devices today require that they be protected with the use of suitable products that do not create stress on the component itself in order to safeguard its functional integrity during the high temperature changes that can develop during operation.

To meet this specific need, casting resins of a polyurethane nature can be used, which, due to their flexibility, elongation, coefficient of thermal expansion and moderate Shore hardness, do not stress and damage components. In particular, Huntsman has formulated numerous solutions including Arathane CW 5660 + HY 5610

Arathane CW 5660 + HY 5610 is a polyurethane casting and impregnation system that can offer users very broad and diversified technical characteristics and prospects for use.

The Arathane CW 5660 + HY 5610 system is formulated to meet this need very well.

With the development of increasingly powerful electronic components, the need for heat dissipation has become a key feature required by the electronics industry in recent years.

With a thermal dissipation value of 0.7 W/mK, it offers a decidedly high heat transfer capacity for a system that cures at room temperature and provides excellent casting capacity due to the system viscosity of 2,000 mPas at 25°C.

To these unique features, we can combine an operational thermal range of -50 to + 165°C and high flexibility that does not create stress and strain on delicate electronic components.

The technical picture is completed with certified UL 94 V0 self-extinguishing (6mm) and a dielectric strength of 19 KV/mm (2 mm specimen thickness).

All of these features place the Arathane CW 5660 + HY 5610 system as a definite frontrunner in Hunstman ‘s electronics product range.
